River Ridge came into 2020 as one of the most underrated teams in the state. With a decisive win over the Lassiter Trojans, everyone has been put on notice.
The Knights were led by a familiar name, Amehre Morrison. Morrison racked up over 200 yards and 5 touchdowns on the night, with the first score of the game being a 76 yard run with less than a minute off the clock.
Coach Mike Collins heaped praise on the new Quarterback for the Knights, Carson Lathem. Lathem did not dissapoint, claiming 2 touchdowns on his first start at QB.
Although the Trojans were a struggling team last season, it was good for Knights fans to see that River Ridge was able to handle Lassiter with relative ease.
River Ridge will host Woodstock on Friday, a game that will truly test how good the Knights can be in 2020.
