WOODSTOCK, GA – Visit Woodstock GA is pleased to share details regarding anticipated spring events in Downtown Woodstock - from pub crawls to sip + shops and scavenger hunts - each coming up in the month of March.
As the second crawl of the 2024 season, the Shamrock Pub Crawl on Saturday, March 16th, will celebrate St Patrick’s Day with festive food & beverage specials at participating Downtown Woodstock eateries. In addition to the traditional pub crawl fun at participating restaurants, live music will be provided by Funk Cake Band throughout the event from 2pm-6pm, as they travel from space to space livening the streets with St Patrick’s Day tunes. As a new feature this year, The Carpenter Academy of Irish Dance will also offer live Irish dance performances at Depot Square beginning at 4pm. This will be an especially fun experience for families, as the young dancers engage with children in the audience to teach elements of the craft of Irish dancing. Next on the March schedule for Visit Woodstock GA is the Spring Sip + Shop set for Thursday, March 21st, from 5pm- 9pm. This event promotes shopping local, as participating merchants in the downtown area offer special deals and spring-themed spritzers + nibbles. Shoppers enjoy day-of deals as well as bounce-back coupons and specialty totes with swag with their purchase of a $10 ticket. The end of March also brings about the beginning of the Discover Woodstock Scavenger Hunt. This engaging event begins on March 22nd and runs through April 27th, with 100 clues designed to get participants out exploring the many various facets of our city. “My family looks forward to the Discover Woodstock Scavenger Hunt every year. It is a great way to get outside for some exercise and to learn more about the city’s history and culture,” shared Brett Cave, family winner of the 2023 Discover Woodstock Scavenger Hunt, and multi-year participant. “The Hunt never disappoints. While winning downtown dollars and other prizes does provide validation for our efforts in the end, it is not the primary motivation. The memories created spending time with my family are priceless. And I have the pictures to prove it.”
