Ross Harris Sentenced to Life Plus 32 Years For Hot Car Death of His 22 Month Old Son Cooper

The father convicted of leaving his 22 month old son, Cooper Harris, in a hot car to die in 2014 was sentenced to a life sentence plus 32 years on Monday. Found guilty last month on all eight charges, including malice murder, Ross Harris had been arrested hours after the death of his young son. Evidence in the case convinced the jury that Ross Harris had not forgotten his son in the car, but left him

there to die on purpose so he could live a child free life. Superior Court Judge Mary Staley Clark announced the sentence, and went on to call the act "heinous and horrendous".
