Gasoline Prices Rise After Pipeline Break in Alabama

We saw gas prices jump as much as twenty cents yesterday in some places after the Colonial Pipeline break. The Colonial Pipeline in Alabama exploded on Monday, killing one person, and injuring five, shutting dowm the pipeline for the rest of the week. Gov. Nathan Deal issued

an executive order on Tuesday in hopes of addressing any gas transport issues. The order from Deal waves the state's limits on the hours that commercial truck drivers can operate so that fuel supply can be trucked in from other suppliers to Georgia and other southern states. The waiver lasts until Nov. 15th.
